Private Jet Maintenance and Management
David Pirri has extensive experience in the management and maintenance of private jets. He was the Service Center Coordinator for General Dynamics Aviation Services, where he oversaw all aspects of scheduled and unscheduled private jet maintenance jobs. In addition, David coordinated with quoting groups to ensure customer proposals and quotes to be correct and profitable.
David worked as the manager of the owned and leased private jets for the Target Corporation for over twenty-five years, where he assisted with the purchase and introduction of over ten private jets into Target’s aviation department. He also carried out all maintenance work, refurbishment, and upgrades for Target’s private jets. David later oversaw Target’s private jets for sale with great success, due to the impeccable records and technical information that he provided his customers.
He served on various councils and committees in the private jet charter and aviation industries, including the Citation X Advisory Council to the Cessna Aircraft Company, and the National Business Aviation Association Technical Standing Committee, where he has served as chairman and vice-chairman since 1999, responsible for the coordination and interaction of ten sub-committees. David received the Cessna Aircraft Company’s Vern Lowe Award in 1996 for outstanding contributions to aviation safety, product development, and professional performance.
Pilot Experience
David served in the Minnesota Air National Guard, where he gained experience as an aircraft flight engineer, an assistant aircraft electric shop supervisor, and an aircraft crew chief.
Education
David holds his Associate of Arts Degree from Normandale Community College in Bloomington, MN. He has taken various aviation management courses from the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, FL. David received technical training on the Cessna Citation X, Cessna Citation III and VII, Dassault Falcon 10, and the IAI 1124 Westwind from Flight Safety International, Inc.
