Private Jet Maintenance and Management
Jim Milardo has managed and maintained private jets for over twenty years. He is currently the Director of Maintenance for two private jets, a Challenger 604 and a Hawker 800 XP. He has worked as a Director of Maintenance for many different aircraft, including a Boeing 727-100, a Challenger 601-3A, and a Gulfstream 100, and was the owner and operator of a Corporate Jet Repair Center in San Diego for four years. Jim is currently working for Tag Aviation managing a Challenger 604.
Mr. Milardo has also worked as a mechanic. He held the position of Chief Mechanic for five different private jets, and was a Line Mechanic at Pacific Southwest Airlines for eight years. Jim is currently a member of the Professional Aviation Maintenance Association.
Pilot Experience
During his ten years in the US Air Force, Jim attained the rank of E-6 Technical Sergeant. He worked in Tactical Air Command, where he was an Aircraft Crew Chief and aircraft Electrician.
Education
Jim has completed Maintenance Systems School training for five jets, including the Boeing 727 and 737. He studied at the Avia Boeing 727 Flight Engineer School and has completed initial training on six different private jets. In addition he holds a current FAA Airframe/ Powerplant License, an FAA Inspection Authorization License, and has his FAA Turbojet Flight Engineer Rating.
