Fractional Jet Ownership
A company specializing in private jets travel solutions, Corporate Wings, recruited Bill as Director of Owners’ Services, where he expanded the Fractional Jet Ownership department from 11 to 114 employees in three years’ time. He developed a unique team concept that included owner services representatives, flight following, and invoicing. Bill understands what it takes to serve fractional jet owners.
Aviation Consulting
Bill Knittle has worked in aviation for over thirty-five years. He held an array of positions at United Air Lines that gave him insight into all aspects of the aviation industry, from staff to operational control. He began in the corporate purchasing department and soon moved to a position as Manager of Performance Analysis in the Eastern Division Headquarters in New York. He gained operational experience at both La Guardia and JFK airports, which prepared him for the responsibilities as a General Manager in Rochester, New York. Bill spent twenty-four years as General Manager until he retired in 1998. After his retirement, Bill became the General Manager for Corporate Wings FBO in Rochester and was influential in its sale to Piedmont Aviation.
Private Jet Charter
Mr. Knittle worked for Corporate Wings, a private jet charter company based out of Cleveland, for three years as a director where he developed new concepts for meeting the needs of private jet clients, including the use of owner services representatives, flight following, and invoicing.
Education
Bill earned a degree in Business Administration and Psychology from Lewis University. He was commissioned as an officer in the United States Marine Corps.
