Aviation Consulting
Michael Head has worked in the aviation industry for more than twenty-five years as an aviation consultant and an FAA-certified speaker on aircraft document problems and solutions.
Michael started AirLog Imaging in 1998, and shortly thereafter he founded a company called DYAMI (Eagle) Corporation, which consisted of aviation consulting and jet parts sales. He recognized the need for an electronic aircraft document database and designed a program that reduced aircraft document research time from days to minutes. Both AirLog and DYAMI were selected as finalists in the B-Catalyst Million Dollar Expedition for best new business concepts. AirLog Imaging won first place.
Mr. Head has held positions in many other sectors of the aviation industry, including Director of Maintenance for companies such as Gulf Canada and the Coleman Company, Inspection Coordinator for Rio Airways, and Night Shift Supervisor for Eastern Atlantic Express.
Pilot Experience
Michael was a U.S. Army (UH-1H) Helicopter Crew Chief. While stationed in Korea he was honored with the US Army achievement award for best crew chief out of nine battalions.
Education
Michael has received flight, maintenance, avionics and electrical interface training for various small and jet aircraft, including the Challenger, Jetstar, Jetstream 31, Learjet 35/36, and the Hawker 700. He is also certified to perform maintenance on the UH-1H helicopter and the PT6 and 331 Engines.
