Jet Sales
Mr. Childs has extensive experience in private jet sales. He was the Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Raytheon Aircraft Company for nine years, where he oversaw all sales and marketing activity worldwide with a $15 million dollar operating budget and a staff of over 350. His responsibilities extended to all of Raytheon’s product line , which consisted of piston, turbo prop, and jet aircraft. Mr. Childs saw an increase in sales each year that he worked at Raytheon. He personally negotiated the largest contract in Raytheon Aircraft’s history and managed Raytheon’s largest customer for a period of two years.
Before working at Raytheon Aircraft Company, Mr. Childs was the Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Sabreliner Corporation for nine years. He was responsible for the company’s Sales and Marketing of Business Jet products and services worldwide.
In addition to his extensive experience with Sabreliner and Raytheon’s private jets, Mr. Childs is an expert in Cessna’s product line as well. Mr. Childs was the Domestic Sales Manager at Cessna Aircraft Company, where he specialized in Citation Business Jet Sales in North America. He held (Including) other various sales positions before becoming Domestic Sales Manager ,. in total, he worked at Cessna for nineteen years.
Mr. Childs has been working at Thunder Aviation since fall of 2003 as a sales and marketing consultant.
Pilot Experience
Karl has his private pilot’s license and has single engine, multiengine, and instrument ratings. He has logged more than 1,200 flight hours.
Education
Mr. Childs graduated from Wichita State University in 1968 with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.
